Live Translation

There will be simultaneous translation from English to Spanish and Spanish to English for all the talks and liturgies. 

We will be using a service through LiveVoice, which works through your mobile phone. You need to download an app — or use your phone's or tablet's web browser, to access the special channel for the NY State Eucharistic Congress. Attendees should download the app ahead of the conference. 

Once the app (or the website on your browser) is opened, then you can select either the English channel (to hear translations from Spanish into English) or the Spanish channel (to hear translations from English into Spanish). 

In addition to downloading and setting up the app, it is also important that you bring two things with you to the Congress: 

1. A set of headphones or AirPods so that you can listen to the translation in a way that will not disturb or distract others around you. 
2. A backup battery for your cell phone or a cell phone charger. There will not be outlets for several thousand people to charge their phones in Auriesville, so we urge you to have a battery backup. 

We print visual instructions about what to do below. 

Parish and Group leaders are asked to share this information today with everyone traveling with them so that they will be able to arrive at the Congress with the app, headphones and chargers.
